For more than 20 years, the Green League Berlin's Ecomarket has taken place every Thursday from 12 to 6 p.m. (January - March, from April to December 12 to 7 p.m.) in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg, on Kollwitzplatz. Over a length of almost 150 metres, traders from Berlin and the surrounding area offer a diverse range of organic products and services related to healthy nutrition at over 40 stalls.
What makes the market so unique is the flair and the strikingly wide range of fresh, organic products. The offer ranges from food from the state of Brandenburg, fruit and vegetables from rural and organic farming, bread specialities made from home-ground flour from Berlin, numerous types of cheese, eggs (free-range from small flocks with plenty of room to run), meat, organic wine, clay oven pizza, raw vegetables, grilled sausages and soups, wild herbs and wool products. According to the motto: "Harvested in the morning, sold at noon", the regional producers offer fresh products that also appeal to vegans and raw foodists.
